“Bear Witness: Save Lives”
The practice of being Beloved Community one with another, requires us to trust and be trustworthy. We must trust that we will be still and bear witness to one another, acknowledge and accept what is shared of experience; being fully present with one another with an empathy that honors our different life experiences. CB will share about the spiritual practice of bearing witness and trusting others to bear witness to us. “When we bear witness, we prioritize the story someone else chooses to tell over the questions we want immediately answered, or our desires about how we want their story to unfold”. Led by CB Beal and Rev. JamieCB Beal (they/them) is a UU speaker, educator, and consultant who specializes in facilitating learning experiences that involve issues of marginalization, oppression, and privilege. CB supports people to hold the complexities of our lives as we co-create a safe[r] brave[r] space within which people can be challenged to learn and grow.
