Unitarian Universalist Theologian Sharon Welch wrote “The Feminist Ethics of Risk” in 1990 articulating “moral courage is the willingness to act from love and solidarity without the assurance that the action will succeed.” In the practice of moral courage Dr. Welch shares stories that are sustained by collective resistance, and communities that hold what she calls ‘dangerous memory.’
