Home for Margaret
How do we talk to our children about people who are experiencing homelessness? In Denise’s book, Home for Margaret, which was inspired by her friendship with Margaret Jacobson, she tells the story of a little girl’s determination to find safe housing for a woman she meets in the woods. Denise’s story shows the importance of teaching children about kindness and compassion toward the unhoused and offers examples of how children can help.
