Speaker: Hugh Tye
Service Leader: Bill Johnston
Homelessness was declared a national disaster in 1998. Hugh Tye reflects on 34 years of
working in the trenches to assess what (if any) progress has been made as we mark National
Housing Day. Hugh outlines Hamilton’s worsening housing crisis, what is at stake for us as a
community, and what we can do to effect positive change. His message is that hope spurs
action, and he anchors both in the principles of the Canadian Unitarian Council.
