Lessons from a Clothing Store
For over six years our congregation has supported a free clothing store at the Eva Rothwell Community Centre. Some congregants volunteer there and many of us donate used clothing. Over the years thousands of items (many from the “fast fashion” industry) have been donated, “sold”, recycled and discarded. Our participation in this store has generated big questions about the social, economic and environmental impacts of the global clothing industry. Join us as we explore our place in the world of “fast fashion”.
