Ralph Waldo Emerson shared his wisdom about being careful about what we worship. Our UU faith asks us to constantly be questioning the truth and purpose of our beliefs, principles, and practices. But not everyone shares this approach and sometimes peoples’ focus of worship shifts to concepts, systems, or philosophies that have nothing to do with gods, philosophy, morality, or the sacred. What we worship, we are becoming.
