This Sunday is an intergenerational service, where we will be welcoming the youngest among us, and the adults who care for them, into a deeper web of community. A Child Dedication Ceremony allows a community to honour the sacredness of life – it is a time when the congregation holds the family in care, and commitment, of love, hope, and nurturing. Because we have all heard the proverb “It takes a Village to raise a Child” we promise to help be that village. This Sunday, let our attention fall to our future.
