Paying Attention to Our Past

Event Details

  • Date:

Unitarian Universalists have a long history of participating in Civil Disobedience, from Henry David Thoreau’s essay on the subject in 1849, to Rev. Waitstill Sharp and his wife orchestrating the escape of hundreds of individuals from the Nazis, to the Selma – Montgomery March in 1965, our ancestors have been at the frontlines of social change our entire history. What is the common thread these stories ask us to Pay Attention to, and what is our responsibility in continuing that story?

This service will be led by Rev. Danie Webber and Irene Kaye.
