National Housing Day Service
This year’s National Housing Day service features Medora Uppal, CEO of YWCA Hamilton. In a service focused on the 25 anniversary of the Big City Mayors of Canada declaration that homelessness in Canada was a national disaster, Medora will talk about how she came to her commitment to commit her career to housing and other essentials to better lives for women and what she’s learned about working for change. During the service, we will also mark Transgender Day of Remembrance. We encourage you to stay after the service for a question-and-answer session with Medora. We’ll have snacks and letters you can sign or rework to send to politicians on a range of housing issues, including ones proposed by YWCA Canada.
