Following the church annual meeting in April, the Social Justice Team published the names of leaders and volunteers who have contributed their time to the church SJ work since 2015. As we celebrate volunteers this Sunday, the Social Justice Team acknowledges not only those who have actively participated giving their time, but all those who have donated food, clothing, and money as well. The number of hours committed to research, the housing team’s meetings, outreach and events, the clothing room and other volunteer efforts at Eva Rothwell Centre (thousands of hours), Welcoming Congregation Team meetings and events, not to mention the time spent creating SJ Friday and the current ACE posts – amazing!!
But all congregants, you too are amazing – donations of food and clothing of course cannot be easily calculated but can you guess how much money the congregation has raised between 2016 and 2021 for our three focus areas?
