Building on “Housing Affordability: Moving from Promises to Reality”

About 150 people watched our Jan 10th housing event, as speakers made it clear that it is possible to end homelessness and provide many of those in core need with affordable housing. Graham Cubitt of Indwell proposed a plan for 400 units of housing with supports to tackle homelessness and 10,000 affordable social housing units for those struggling with soaring rents. Brian Sibley of Kiwanis Homes explained ways to pay for that. View the recording here: https://uuhamilton.ca/affordable-housing/
