Discrimination Against Racialized Minorities and Newcomers Still Prevalent in Housing

The Canadian Centre for Housing Rights recently tested the Toronto rental market for discrimination against newcomers, racialized minorities and families with children and found it is still prevalent. Recommendations include more aggressive provincial investigation and enforcement of the Human Rights Code and measures to preserve and even purchase existing affordable housing.
