City of Hamilton National Housing Day presentation highlights tenant challenges and assistance

The city has created an array of programs to help tenants stay housed, amid trends toward rising evictions and slow growth in the supply of rental units. These efforts—which include support for legal advice and representation, a new bylaw governing evictions for renovations and heightened enforcement of property maintenance—were described at the city’s National Housing Day event this past Monday, attended by all the members of our Affordable Housing Team.
