Homelessness, Opioid Addiction and Mental Health
A motion almost certain to have passed yesterday at city council calls for the mayor to declare these three emergencies—homelessness, opioid addiction and mental health. The motion urges the provincial government to take eight actions to deal with these issues, including providing a long-term financial commitment to create more affordable and supportive housing, and expanding access to harm reduction programs and safe supply.
