Climate Advocacy and the Municipal Election

Support Hamilton 350’s Climate Advocacy during Municipal Election Campaign

Hamilton 350 launched their Transit-focused Municipal Election Campaign last week with an invitation to Council Candidates to sign our Pledge per below, and they kicked-off their canvassing of Hamilton voters at Hamilton Farmer’s Market.

Here is the Pledge that Candidates are signing (you can see an updated list on who has signed here – https://www.govotehamilton.ca/candidate-pledge ):

“As a candidate for elected office in the City of Hamilton, I pledge to support the formation of a Committee of Council to examine how the City can make the HSR frequent, clean, and fare free.”

Now here is where we NEED YOUR HELP:

  1. Send your Candidates Letters – pick your Ward from the drop down list at https://www.govotehamilton.ca/take-action/write-your-candidatesand tailor the template letter we have created, or send as is!
  2. Volunteer to join a Canvas this coming weekend, back at Hamilton Farmer’s Market (outside the entrances only), MacNab Terminal, or Limeridge Mall Terminal – please sign up for the canvas at https://www.govotehamilton.ca/take-action/volunteer
