(date change) Housing Event is now MAY 17th

REGISTER NOW!

For Sunday May 17ths showing of a film about “what we’re doing right for affordable housing!”

The documentary Thinking Beyond the Market: A Film About Genuinely Affordable Housing is an inspiring look at affordable housing solutions being applied now across Canada. Register early for a showing at our church on Sunday May 17 2-4:30 pm. From Hamilton’s renoviction bylaw to strengthening rent controls (see below) to building non-profit housing on public land and a massive Indigenous-led project in Vancouver, the film demonstrates that we know what to do. We just need to adapt best practices in legislation and scale up massively what we’re already doing right. Dr. Brian Doucet, housing researcher and associate professor at the University of Waterloo, directed and will be present.
