City staff has recommended the city provide the Hamilton Alliance for Tiny Shelters with $100,000 for each of three years. However, the Emergency and Community Services Committee deferred a decision at its December 1 meeting, with direction to staff to help HATS finds a better site than one HATS proposed on Barton Street East and report back to the committee’s next meeting January 19.
