Each bit we do, makes a difference to someone in need

THANK YOU to everyone who made the time and effort to donate needed items these last few weeks. It has been a significant help to the HUB who received the clothing and food. The EVA ROTHWELL CENTRE remains closed, including the Clothing Room. No update is available. BUT you can still make a difference. Working together with the HUB and Keeping Six we can continue to collect donations of specific items for the homeless.

Here is the list of needs:

THE HUB:

  • large storage tubs for blankets and clothing
  • men’s track pants
  • underwear (men’s and women’s)
  • canned soups
  • NEW homemade soups with ingredients listed in non-returnable containers. (see note re delivery below)**

KEEPING SIX:

  • winter coats
  • hats and mitts
  • winter boots
  • blankets and sleeping bags

If you have any of these items to donate, except for homemade soups, please bring them to the FIRST UNITARIAN CHURCH on Dundurn and put them in the cloakroom. It is open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday mornings from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Please use clear bags and label them.

**Homemade soups can be delivered directly to THE HUB at 78 Vine St. or call Doreen Knol to have them picked up at your home.

For questions or comments, please contact Doreen Knol at Doreen.knol@gmail.com, Martin Dooley, Kelly Wolf from Keeping Six, or Janice Webster from THE HUB.

Each bit we do will make a difference to someone in need.  Thank you.
