The Canadian Housing and Renewal Association has expressed disappointment with the federal Fall Economic Statement. Once again, the federal government failed to deliver on its repeated promises to create a fully funded, Indigenous-governed urban, rural, and northern Indigenous Housing Strategy. And it failed to provide additional grants to at least match the rising costs of borrowing that put new affordable housing at risk of being abandoned.
