Hamilton Creates What Might Become a National Model for Tenant Protections

Hamilton council last week unanimously approved a package of tenant protections that may become a model for cities across the country. The Hamilton protections grew out of years of advocacy by the Hamilton ACORN chapters. CBC Radio’s Ontario Today program Monday focused on Hamilton’s bylaw and provided a concise 24-minute explanation and debate on the bylaw’s merits: https://www.cbc.ca/listen/live-radio/1-45-ontario-today/clip/16036933-is-cities-crack-shady-renovictions
