The Ontario government’s Task Force charged with recommending how to increase the supply of private sector houses released its report last week. If adopted, its proposals would potentially impact all of us and significantly change how housing developments are planned and approved. Whether or how much it would boost housing supply, and whether it would lower housing costs, is being hotly debated but it’s likely the province will legislate some of the recommendations.
