Come out and take a look at a Hamilton Alliance for Tiny Shelters, Tiny Shelter!
Tomorrow, Friday April 1, the Hamilton Alliance for Tiny Shelters (HATS) is holding an open house and media day at its demonstration cabin in front of the Anglican Cathedral on James Street North.
The HATS team will be on hand and the cabin, which is normally locked, will be open and furnished, so you can see how 80 square feet of private shelter space looks.
HATS continues to search for a property to launch its program. It is pulling together a fundraising team, has significant pledges and is delighted to have received a $24,000 United Way grant that builds our credibility and pays for a staff person—Tony D’Amato Stortz, a former site manager at Kitchener’s Better Tent City—to lead our work from now until we can launch a village community.
See you at the Open House.
