Sunday afternoon, the Youth Wellness Centre is hosting a Trans Dan of Remembers drop-in event to provide a safe space to hangout and debrief about this day. It runs from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at 38 James Street South, Second floor. Masks are mandatory.
The Hamilton Trans Health Coalition is hosting a Trans Day of Remembrance event tonight, Nov 17th, with trans speakers, drag, karaoke and prizes. Entry fee is canned food donations. Tonight, 8-11 p.m. at Tracie’s Place Restaurant, 592 Upper James Street.
Also, please sign a petition that is asking the provincial government to continue to allow virtual gender affirming care for gender diverse people. Virtual care has increased health care access and equity across Ontario and is a safe way to gender diverse people to connect with a culturally competent doctor. But Connect-Clinic, which provides virtual care, will not be able to take on new patients for virtual care after December 1.
