Two Great Speakers + Local Tenants’ Stories = One Exciting Housing Event on Friday November 15

You don’t want to miss Keys to Affordable Housing: A Hamilton-Burlington Tenants’ Forum. The proportion of renters is rising, as are rents and evictions. We’ll hear of the challenges and proposed solutions from local tenants, from Toronto tenant organizer Sharlene Henry (born in Hamilton), and from housing policy expert Dr. Carolyn Whitzman (a McMaster grad), whose new book Home Truths: Fixing Canada’s Housing Crisis, was released on Monday. Then we break into small groups to consider how we can get our politicians to make the needed changes. In our sanctuary, Friday November 15, 6-9 p.m. Register by emailing housing@uuhamilton.ca
