Denied the right to help the homeless in Toronto
“Someone Lives Here” is a powerful, 75-minute documentary about Khaleel Seivwright. He quit his job to become a carpenter during the pandemic to build life-saving small shelters for unhoused people facing the Toronto winter outside. His actions attract international acclaim but also staunch opposition from the city government.
The film is being premiered at Toronto’s Hot Docs Festival and can be seen online from May 5 to 9.
