The challenge of housing affordability is related to, though larger than, the challenge of poverty. Housing is never affordable for those with low incomes. And as this year’s report by Canadians for Public Justice shows, we are making only slow progress, if any, on poverty, and food insecurity is getting worse. The report outlines our human rights responsibilities and lays out a program for reducing poverty.
