Overview: The Wet’suwet’en have never ceded their territory—a fact conveniently overlooked by the Canadian government, and several large fossil fuel companies, which continue to trespass, invade and occupy Wet’suwet’en lands to construct highly polluting natural-gas pipelines that stretch across several bodies of water, directly impacting the communities that surround them.
