Renters with low incomes are eligible for a one-time payment of $500, but you need to apply by March 31. To qualify, you need an adjusted net income for 2021 of $20,000 or less for a single person or $35,000 or less for a family and to have paid, in 2022, more than a third of your 2021 income for rent.
