YWCA CEO, Medora Uppal, National Housing Day Speaker

YWCA’s Putnam Family building on Ottawa Street, Hamilton.

Sunday, November 19 is our National Housing Service.

The Affordable Housing Team is delighted that Medora Uppal, CEO of the Hamilton YWCA, is our speaker for our National Housing Day service on Sunday November 19 at 10:30 am. Medora has 25 years of experience working on issues of housing, homelessness and violence against women, for Good Shepherd and the YWCA. And she played a key role in creating the YWCA’s Putnam Family building on Ottawa Street, Hamilton’s first affordable permanent housing residence for single women and mother-led families, with 50 units. Medora has agreed to stay for a Q&A session afterwards, where we will have snacks and letters you can sign on housing issues.
