ZUUmers and Boomers
Formerly called the “Seniors” group, we are pleased to now include those of you born in the Baby Boomer generation.
Let’s gather together and share our experience and wisdom!
ZUUmer – A person, specifically a Unitarian Universalist, born around or before 1946, who is full of spirit and vitality.
Boomer – A person born during the post World War II “baby boom,” approximately between the years 1946 & 1964.

Zuumers and Boomers is open to anyone over 50, not just “seniors”. You don’t need gray hair, a walker, or hearing aids to part of this group. You do need a curious mind, a desire for fellowship with your peers and an interest in activities and issues in our community and in the world around us. We definitely don’t sit around complaining about our aches pains and reminisce about the good old days. Come and join this very special group and see what we are about.
The ZUUmers and Boomers offer a variety of social activities on an ongoing basis. These allow seniors to meet other like-minded members of the congregation, enjoy their company, and to participate with them in the many amenities offered in Hamilton.
A Planning Group, open to all, meets three times a year to plan, organize and evaluate events. The First Unitarian Church of Hamilton allocates funds to assist in the running of the program. A (senior) volunteer coordinates the program.
