Affordable Housing Team co-chair Bill Johnston presented three recommendations when city council heard public delegations on the 2024 city budget last week. His pitch was similar to the letters that many of you signed, to the mayor and city councillors, after our November National Housing Day service. He urged funding to implement new tenant protections and capital funding so the Hamilton Is Home collaboration can fund the several hundred new homes they are ready to build.
