Hamilton Alliance for Tiny Shelters (HATS) movie night features award-winning documentary “Someone Lives Here”
The documentary “Someone Lives Here” is a film about a young carpenter Khaleel Seivwright (left) who built insulated life-saving tiny shelters for people sleeping outside in Toronto Parks. He got international attention—and staunch opposition from Toronto City Hall. The documentary, directed by Zack Russell, took home the top prize at Toronto’s Hot Docs film festival last month, the $50,000 Rogers Audience Award for Best Canadian Documentary.
Khaleel and Zack will be present for a discussion after the film is shown at the Playhouse Theatre, Tuesday June 20, 7 p.m. Early-bird tickets are $20, with all proceeds going to the Hamilton Alliance for Tiny Shelters.
