Jacob Gorenkoff, an engaging and knowledgeable speaker, will focus on why current federal housing policies fall short of what is needed to end housing need, what changes are needed, and how we can push for those changes. He is director, Policy & Government Relations, with the Canadian Housing and Renewal Association, Ottawa, which has been advocating for affordable housing since 1968. Jacob has masters degrees in political management and applied politics and a career in advocacy. Q&A will follow his presentation.
This is the third presentation by the First Unitarian Church of Hamilton and St. Paul’s United Church, Dundas, in its series, Housing Affordability: Moving from Promises to Reality.
