Keeping the Congregation Healthy

As you know, the number of cases of the new coronavirus in Ontario is increasing, although the risk of contracting COVID-19 remains low. To ensure the health of our congregation, here are some guidelines to follow.

Stay home if:

  • You or someone in your family has or is showing symptoms of a cold or flu (not just COVID-19)
  • It is less than 24 hours since someone in your family had or showed signs of a cold or flu

If you are showing COVID-19 symptoms, get to a hospital:

  • Fever
  • Cough (dry cough)
  • Shortness of breath

Personal health:

  • Get a flu shot
  • Monitor family health for symptoms
  • Minimize facial touching
  • Dispose of tissues after single use

Healthy practices at church:

  • Avoid physical contact – no shaking hands, hugging
  • Wash hands upon entering and leaving the church using provided hand sanitizer

If you need to sneeze/cough:

  • Sneeze into a tissue and dispose of it after a single use
  • If no tissue available, sneeze into your sleeve or inside your shirt/sweater/top
  • Clean your hands.
