Message from the Canvass 2025 Team (Oct 17)

A sincere heartfelt thank you to the individuals who have submitted their pledge!!  Thank you for your Commitment to Community. 🙂

Our sea glass quilt pattern is taking shape with each Canvass pledge that is made.  Collectively we have pledged $143 350 or 46% of our Canvass goal!

As mentioned on Sunday, there are many households (68%) we have not heard from yet.  Every pledge counts.  Every pledge is needed and helps to sustain our operating budget for the following calendar year.  We ask you to consider increasing your pledge this year if you are able to.  For those who, for one reason or another, are unable to make a financial contribution for next year, it is important to still submit a pledge so we may mark you down as complete for our records.

While the Canvass campaign officially wraps up this Sunday, October 20th, we know there will be some who won’t have their pledges in by that date.  But fear not!  We have a small team of wonderful volunteers who will be contacting those individuals to follow up with them.  Having said that, it would be ideal if folks could aim to submit their pledges on or before October 20th if at all possible – thanks!

Does it help if we say pretty please? 🙂

You may recall the beautiful reflection called The Grout; read at the Canvass kickoff service.  For this upcoming Sunday, we will be offering an opportunity to make a personal stepping stone, similar to the one described in the reflection, in one of the Spirit Zones during the service.  You are encouraged to bring small-ish item(s) of significance for a keepsake stepping stone.

Come see us at the Canvass table before or after service on Oct 20 th if you have questions about pledging.
