Thank you to all of you who donated, through our Christmas Eve offering, to Sacajawea. The total was $5,542.
That money will help Sacajawea furnish and equip 25 new badly needed affordable housing units for Indigenous tenants that it will co-manage. The former Royal Oak Dairy building—to be called Aindahing—will house 13 of them. Many of its new tenants will come straight from homelessness and have no belongings. Sacajawea will need to provide them with beds and other furniture, linens and towels, cooking utensils and everything else that goes into making a home. Our donations will help make that possible.
